Lynn's story yesterday mentioned the mother deer appearing at the top of a small rise. Here's a picture of that knoll with wildflowers. The non-wildflowers in the gardens are coming along too—oxalis, a peach iris, and a peony, among others. We sat at the picnic table by the stream for lunch, as we often do. An indigo bunting is a regular visitor to the bird feeder. Feature: An ancient turtle adopted an orphaned hippo after the Tsunami in Kenya. More animals Quote for the Day: "Outside
of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to
read." - Groucho Marx |
