July 16, 2006 More progress on the fence around the front garden. The fence now includes the arbor and is connected to the house. The two tall posts in the background will become the final section of the fence. (To the right you can see two monarda—or bee balm— blossoms sticking up.) The light-colored roof is keeping the house pretty cool on hot days. Also, we open the skylights at night so the house is filled with the cool night air. Lynn's day lilies are blooming.
