I removed the unused door in the the family room and replaced it with a full-length window.  The door will be used on the other side of the room for access to the screened porch.
    I put on my Wellingtons and waded into the brook to pull out some more purple loosestrife.  You can see from its root system why it competes so well against other plants!  I used one of the Wellingtons for size comparison with our elephant-ear plant (colocasia).

Feature for the day:  When we learn for ourselves (discover) we go examples to the generalization.  But teaching is usually done backwards—from the generalization to examples.  Can we teach by leading to discovery?
