The late afternoon sun shows off the plantings around the house. The chimney is covered with a trumpet vine with beautiful blossoms.  The garden in front has some California poppies.  Lynn planted some cardinal flowers down by the brook.
The door to the screened porch is finally installed.  Now we don't have to go all around Robin Hood's barn to get out that side of the house.
Some more local critters: a golden frog and a grasshopper disguised as a dry leaf. Even the eye is camouflaged!

Feature for the day:  I composed a Native American song for the Souhegan Valley Chorus.  It's based on the Navajo Blessing Way prayer.

Quote for the day:  "The power of accurate observation is commonly called cynicism by those who have not got it." - Bernard Shaw
