I've been storing the four
cords of wood under cover. I'm almost
done.
Lynn and I picked
grapes at the Yankee Farmer garden center in Greenfield a couple
days ago. She made grape juice from them.
I still take the neighbor's dog, Snowy,
for a walk about every three days. Here's a 3D
picture of one of the trails we take. In places there's a
beautiful green carpet of moss, and we
found some Red Crest Lichen (Cladonia
cristatella) also called "British Soldier Moss." We always pass over the
Rand Brook—the
same one that goes through our property—but here it's shallower and
faster running.
It's mushroom season. We've
had only a moderate amount of rain lately, but the fungus is taking off!
