Lynn is putting the final
touches on the baby's quilt. Crystal will deliver in a week!
I woke up last week to a heavy frost. The weeds
took on a fairyland appearance. My first chore in the morning is to tend to
the wood fire in the living room. I stir the coals to get the
ashes to fall into a pan underneath and then add more wood. The
coals are red, of course, but there is a blue
fame that dances over them.
The garage is
finally ready to receive cars. The concrete is set, but we're
waiting for the garage doors now.
On Thursday Lynn's "Country Road Quilters" (a small group of friends who quilt together regularly) went to a
quilt show in Nashua. The quilts were literally works
of art.
Feature for the day: Optical
illusions. Note in particular "Mr. Angry and Mrs.
Calm."
Quote for the day: "Give me a couple of years
and I'll make that actress an overnight success." Samuel
Goldwyn
