December 15, 2006
We had our first
snowfall on December 9—just a dusting, but at least some
accumulation.
We visited Matt and Crystal on November 30, when
River was two weeks old. She's
as cute as ever, and one picture might show a smile.
I was in the Messiah sing in Mont Vernon again this
year. Here's a clip of us singing "And
the glory of the Lord."
During the last two weeks Lynn and I were busy working
on the the set for the Souhegan Valley Chorus' Christmas
Concert. The concert was a great success with good singing, neat
special effects (a tree "chops" itself down on cue), and good attendance.
The show opened with a boy soprano singing "Once
in Royal David's City," which is how British Christmas
performances traditionally start. The audience participated in
singing "The Twelve Days of
Christmas."
Feature for the day: A frosted
window at sunrise.
Quote for the day: “The
world is too much with us; late and soon, /Getting and spending, we lay
waste our powers.” – William
Wordsworth
