March 21, 2007

Happy Spring!  It was 7° this morning.  Ah well, there's still time for March to go out like a lamb.
We visited Lynn and John Roy up in Vershire VT last week.  They were taking care of grandson Benjamin part of the time.  Their new kitchen is about done.  We went on a walk near their place and saw a modern version of a horse pulling logs out of the woods over the snow.  We visited some livestock at at school where their daughter Kathy teaches and saw some lambs (pic1, pic2) and a llama.  (Unique chew that llama has!)
We're taking care of a friend's black tricolor Australian Shepherd, Blaze for two weeks.  She's an active dog that loves to retrieve a ball.
We visited Matt, Crystal, and River Sunday afternoon.  The most comfortable baby carrier they've found is a kind of sarong.

Feature - Jazz whistler Ron McCroby performs "Joy Spring"

Quote for the Day -

       in Just-
spring       when the world is mud-
luscious the little
lame baloonman

whistles       far       and wee

and eddieandbill come
running from marbles and
piracies and it's
spring

when the world is puddle-wonderful

the queer
old baloonman whistles
far       and         wee
and bettyandisabel come dancing

from hop-scotch and jump-rope and

it's
spring
and

       the

               goat-footed

baloonMan       whistles
far
and
wee
