May 12, 2007 Blossoms and green
sprouts are coming out now. The pear
trees are in bloom, daffodils
are out, fiddlehead
ferns are unwinding, and the potted oxalis
has as many blossoms as leaves. Another sign of spring is the peepers
down by the river. A couple nights ago I heard a turkey
answering an owl's call. Beaver came 70 yards from the brook, cut
down five saplings, and dragged them back to the brook. Feature - Why bugs are attracted to your computer screen. Quote for the Day - "When you speak, you simplify. And when you simplify, you lie." Bart Kosko in his book "Fuzzy Thinking" |
