Lynn's Adventure: Yesterday I had a frightening, but not dangerous experience; perhaps I should say "awesome."  I went to the far end of the barn in order to open the big sliding doors for the breeze the blow through.  Whenever I walk down the center isle, I always feel a little apprehensive, hoping I don't corner some animal that might have wandered in.  I reached the door with no problem, but as soon as I slid the door open, there was a blood-curdling scream.  There in front of me in the tall grass, was a tiny fawn screaming in fear.  He quickly lay down and stayed still, while I tried to stay upright on my legs of rubber!  I backed away from the door and waited.  Immediately, "mother" appeared at the top of the small rise (30 feet away).  The fawn jumped up and ran to his mother, while she was all alertness looking for the danger.  Of course, there wasn't any, so she eventually took him away to safety.  Where was my camera?  In the house!!!

Feature: A star that blew up, leaving a beautiful tangle of gas and dust and also a fantastically compact neutron star.  More stars
